How to get to Ikaria

By Sea

Ikaria island is connected with Athens (Pireaus Port), Mykonos, Syros, Patmos, Fourni, Samos, Chios, Mytilini, Limnos and Kavala. Journey time from Piraeus to Ikaria typically takes about 7-8 hours depending on the vessel, the weather and intermediary ports.

During the summer months, there is also a regional high speed catamaran that connects Ikaria with other islands in the Dodecannese.

By Air

There are flights to Ikaria Airport (JIK) from Athens(ATH). Journey time is 40 minutes. Flights are also available from/to Thessaloniki (SKG) and Limnos Island(LXS).
